Bali Bazaar: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today at Cross View Church, 604 Avenue C in Snohomish. Handcrafted items brought directly from Bali, including wooden items, baskets, jewelry, purses, silk scarves, toys, decorations and much more. All proceeds benefit My Father’s House, a nonprofit orphanage in Bali, Indonesia, that is administered by Snohomish residents Kim and Brian Boyer.
Quilt group: A quilting group gathers at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at Edmonds Lutheran Church, 23525 84th Ave. W. All experience levels welcome. Completed quilts are sent to Lutheran World Relief for distribution to disaster areas, homeless shelters, orphanages and other causes. More info: 425-744-8090.
Christmas Lights: Evergreen Community Church in Bothell again offers its Christmas Lights show, 5:30-10 p.m. Nov. 29 through the end of December. Advent Market Faire: First Presbyterian Church in Everett will hold a St. Matthew’s Advent Market Faire before and after the 10 a.m. service Dec. 1 with shopping opportunities where the profit benefits those who are hurting. Booths include product from Ethical Choices, free-trade coffee from Zippy’s and Tierra Nueva, Syrian crosses made by refugees, Heifer International, and more. Thanksgiving meal, Edmonds: Free community dinner, with seatings at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at Westgate Chapel, 22901 Edmonds Way, Edmonds. The first 150 children at the 11 a.m. seating have a chance to win a Nintendo Wii. All three seatings have drawings for a $50 Toys R Us and Lego gift certificates and door prizes. Single moms: Life House is a new Christian ministry in Arlington that serves single pregnant women and single moms, particularly the homeless and displaced.
