Hymn sing: Pastor Terry Ollar and the Hymn Sing Orchestra lead a night of gospel music, 6 p.m. July 28 at Bethany Christian Assembly, 2715 Everett Ave., Everett. The event combines congregational singing of great hymns with some of the Northwest’s finest groups ministering in song. Seating is first come, first served.

Family Fun Fair: Faith Lutheran Church, 6708 Cady Road in Everett, 6708 Cady Road in Everett, wraps up this free series, 6-8 p.m. July 31. The Ross Jazz Band plays. There also will be games and a free picnic-style dinner.

Benefit car show: Faith Lutheran Church of Lakewood holds its Hot August Car Show, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 10. All proceeds go to local food banks.
