Mardis Gras: Edmonds Lutheran Church hosts its second annual Mardi Gras Sunday Service at 10 a.m. Sunday, complete with Dixieland jazz music, games, face-painting and a huge pancake breakfast. This is a free event and all are welcome. The church is at 23525 84th Ave. W. More info: 425-744-8090.

Women’s luncheon: The next Mill Creek Christian Women’s Connection luncheon is set for 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 20610 44th Ave. W., Lynnwood. Cost is $22. Focus on Palestine: Our Savior’s Lutheran Church hosts a Mission Festival Feb. 17 that focuses on the continued struggles faced in Palestine. The guest speaker is Ronald J. Young, a consultant to the National Interreligious Initiative for Peace in the Middle East. Services are at 9 and 11 a.m. with forums following each service at 10 a.m. and noon. Unity Lynnwood: The lesson at Unity Church in Lynnwood at 10 a.m. Sunday is “Love and Beauty,” a new take on Valentine’s Day with Richard Held. Held, who has presented with such notables as Maya Angelou, is the church’s administrator and a candidate for a doctor of divinity degree from Emerson Theological Institute. Living Interfaith: Living Interfaith Church celebrates World Interfaith Harmony Week at its service at 11 a.m. Sunday. The church meets at Alderwood Middle School, 20000 28th Ave. W., Lynnwood. Initiated in Jordan and adopted by the United Nations, World Interfaith Harmony Week is an attempt to recognize and celebrate the world’s diverse spiritual paths. GriefShare: Mountain View Presbyterian Church begins its winter/spring series of GriefShare, a support group aimed at helping individuals cope with the death of someone close. “Beyond 2012” classes: Local author, yoga instructor and radio commentator Roy Holman presents a four-class series at the Everett Unity Church of Positive Living called, “Beyond 2012: Wake Up!” Attend any or all of the four classes and receive a copy of his book, “Healing Self, Healing Earth.” Classes touch on a variety of topics, including meditation and an energy shift update.
