Cancer support group: For those with cancer and other serious conditions, and those who care for them. This month’s speaker is Maureen Kean, nutritionist and author of 14 books including “What to Eat When You Have Cancer.” Meets 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 7215 51st St. NE, Marysville.
Homeschooling support group: Home Oriented Meaningful Education meets at 7:15 p.m. second Tuesdays of the month at Parkridge Community Church, 3805 Maltby Road, Bothell. The January meeting will feature “The Truth About Noah’s Ark,” a presentation by Tom Hoyle of Bible and Science Ministries. Parent meetings are free to members, $5 per family to non-members to help cover the cost of monthly speakers. Mommy’s Day Out: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fridays through March 25 at the House Worship Center, 4109 103rd Ave. SE, Lake Stevens. Program for 2- to 5-year-olds to give mothers a day off.
