Concerts
Evergreen Baptist Church presents Christian artists The Dartts for a Southern gospel concert at 7 p.m. June 5 at the church, 825 Ave. D, Snohomish.
The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted. Proceeds are intended for the Dartt family ministry.
The Dartts, now in their 12th year, began with Tracy, Sharon and sons Forrest and Stone Mountain. Forrest left the group in 1996 and The Dartts carried on as a trio, becoming a quartet again in 2006 with the addition of BJ Speer.
Tracy Dartt has written hundreds of gospel songs, including his biggest hit “God On The Mountain.”

The Marysville Free Methodist Church invites the public to a concert featuring Northwest Christian artist David Harsh at 8:15 a.m. and 10 a.m. June 15 at 6715 Grove St., Marysville.
Harsh has won numerous awards for his work, including first place in a songwriting competition for his song “Making Up for Lost Time” at the 29th annual American Gospel Music Association seminar in Colorado.

Father’s Day Car show
Everett’s Northshore Christian Church presents its sixth annual Father’s Day Car and Bike Show 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 15 at the church, 5700 23rd Drive W., Everett.
Dads are invited to bring their favorite rides or come to see a variety of cars and bikes.
The day’s activities include a hot breakfast and lunch, a silent auction for a 1990 Mercury Cougar with new tires, plus drawings, door prizes, trophies and free dash plaques for the first 150 entries.
All proceeds go to the church’s homeless food ministry.

Film showing
Northshore Christian Church and filmmaker Dan Merchant present a free sneak preview of “Lord Save Us From Your Followers” 6:30 p.m. June 8 at 5700 23rd Drive W., Everett.
The movie is set to open nationally in June and the sneak preview is scheduled for one week prior to the opening.
Merchant plans to be at the church during the program to answer questions.
The documentary explores the collision of faith and culture in America. Merchant, who was fed up with what he saw as an angry, strident language filling the airwaves that has come to represent the Christian faith, said he set out to discover why the Gospel of Love is dividing America. Using expert interviews, man-on-the-street bits and hilarious animations and stunts, the film provides a forum for conversation.

Meditation
Kadampa Meditation Center offers a new series of Monday Buddhist meditation classes.
“Improving Our Service to Others, Six Practices for Daily Life” is scheduled for 7:30 to 9 p.m. Monday to June 23 at Anabel’s Framing and Gallery, 2531 Broadway, Everett.
The series explores six trainings, taught by Buddha, on how to improve service, consideration and kindness towards all living beings.
The series includes guided meditations, teachings, discussion and refreshments. Drop-ins are welcome.

The Seattle Northshore Women’s Connection, Stonecroft Ministries presents Crystal Hicks at a brunch 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. June 11 at the Inglewood Golf and Country Club, 6505 Inglewood Road NE, Kenmore.
Hicks is from Abbotsford, B.C., and has performed with the Trinity Western University Masterworks Choir and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. She plans to share her life story through word and song.
