Halloween activities

New Life Foursquare Church will hold “Trunk or Treat,” a family friendly event where people decorate the trunks of their vehicles in themes and games. Children and parents then visit each trunk and instead of “Trick or Treat” they “Trunk or Treat.”

The event will take place from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Oct. 31 in the north parking lot of New Life Center, 6830 Highland Drive, Everett.

Bethany Christian Assembly will host a Pumpkin Patch Party 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 31.

The carnival will have inflatables, pony rides, games for all ages, prizes and plenty of candy. The Pumpkin Patch Cafe will also be open for dinner.

The event costs $3 per person and includes unlimited rides and games. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Gold Creek Community Church will hold a “Trunk or Treat” event on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Families bring their cars and SUVs, decorate the trunk and pass out candy. In addition to prizes for the best decorated vehicle, there will be inflatables, food and live entertainment.

Boutiques and bazaars

North Creek Presbyterian Church will hold Christmas at North Creek from Oct. 25 to 27. Times are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The boutique features fine handcrafted items from over 50 respected Northwest artisans for Christmas and other special occasions. Proceeds from the event go to St. Petersburg, Russia, in support of the Children’s Hospice and sister church, Trinity Izmailov Cathederal and Orphanage.

Benefit Dinner &Auction

Lamb of God Lutheran Church will hold a benefit dinner and auction for Haitian missions and a children’s orphanage at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27.

The dinner will include a video presentation highlighting the last mission’s trip. Haitian paintings will be auctioned off to benefit the children in the orphanage.

Ebenezer Lutheran Church is hosting a holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27.

The bazaar will feature baked goods, crafts, and hourly door prizes. There will also be a concession stand with soup, sandwiches, pie and cinnamon rolls.

Concert

Salvation Army is pleased to present the Seattle Temple Brass Band on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Admission and refreshments are free.

The concert will take place at the Salvation Army Everett Corps at 2525 Rucker Ave. Space is limited and those wishing to attend are encouraged to arrive early.

Women’s events

Peace Lutheran Church is hosting a women’s bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 3.

This annual event will feature lefse, baked goods, homemade crafts, a quilt raffle and fair-trade coffee and gifts.

The MOMS Club of Snoho­mish offers meetings open to mothers looking for fun and support. The MOMS Club is an international, nonprofit support group for mothers who stay at home with their children, including those who have home-based businesses or who work part-time but are home with their children during the day.

The club offers a range of activities, including play groups, books clubs and special daytime events geared toward children.

The MOMS club meets at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at Mountain View Community Church, 12033 Seattle Hill Road, Snohomish.

The Trinity Lutheran Church MOPS — Mothers Of Preschoolers — group has begun its 2007-08 year. The group is open to all mothers with children, from newborns through kindergartners.

TLC MOPS meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2324 Lombard Ave., Everett.

Torah classes

Torah classes and discussions for practicing Jews or those who wish to learn more about their faith take place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Chabad Jewish Center of Snohomish County, 19 W. Intercity Ave., Everett.

Support groups

GriefShare is a weekly seminar and support group for people grieving the death of someone close. GriefShare groups meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays at Church of the Nazarene, 8240 64th St. NE, Marysville.

A 13-week support group for people who are grieving the loss of a loved one will meet from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 2 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 9613 20th St. SE, Everett. Participants should register in advance.
