First Baptist Church of Martha Lake offers a free car wash today at 17319 Larch Way, Lynnwood.

Car wash hours will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All car wash soap and supplies are nontoxic, nonabrasive and biodegradable. Also, no runoff will be allowed to enter the storm drains or go into the local streams. This is a rain-or-shine event.

Health Fair

The City of Refuge Christian Church has scheduled a free health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 6 at 4411 76th St. NE, Marysville.

The fair will provide information and advice on high blood pressure; breast cancer; HPV, the virus that can cause cervical cancer; and other topics.

Simchat Torah celebration

Temple Beth Or will “rejoice with the Torah” and celebrate the annual cycle of the reading of the Torah.

She will sing the music of Verdi, Puccini, Saint-Saens, Wagner, Mendelssohn, Bach, Handel, and Rogers and Hammerstein. Magee’s accompanist will be Iris Ingram of Lake Stevens.
