EVERETT — A Fall City man is in hot water after allegedly agreeing to pay for sex with two young girls.
The man, 61, was arrested last week and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of attempted rape and commercial sex abuse of a minor.
Detectives with the Washington State Patrol Missing and Exploited Children Task Force set up an undercover operation, posing as a mother of three children.
The suspect allegedly emailed, texted and spoke on the phone with detectives.
He reportedly agreed to meet to have sex with two girls, whose ages he allegedly was told were 11 and 8.
The phone conversations were recorded.
He allegedly asked the girls’ ages and for a photo. He agreed to bring condoms to a meeting.
Detectives wrote in a report that the suspect was asked if he wanted both girls or just the oldest.
He allegedly responded: “I think both would be nice. Get to know them and you. Hopefully we can have a long relationship.”
A time and meeting place were set.
Detectives said the man showed up in an SUV.
When he was arrested, he had a cellphone, condoms, $483 in cash and truffles.
Detectives called his cellphone, the same number they believe was used to set up the meeting.
It rang.
