SPOKANE — The Spokane County prosecutor’s office says a Spokane police officer was justified in killing a man during a shootout in March of last year in the South Hill neighborhood.
Chief Deputy Prosecutor Jack Driscoll said Todd E. White fired at officers who had responded when he brought a gun to his sister’s home in a dispute over their late father’s guns.
White refused officers’ orders and was targeting them with a laser sight when Officer Trevor Nollmeyer shot him with a rifle.
