FERNDALE — A Ferndale teen has been arrested, accused of sending text messages in which he threatened to carry out a school shooting at Ferndale High School.
KIRO-TV reports that police say the 17-year-old boy sent the messages to a school friend, claiming he had a gun and was going to s
hoot students on Feb. 7.
Police say the boy was apparently upset at a group of people who made fun of his younger brother.
Police say a search of the youth’s house turned up no weapons.
He was arrested for investigation of harassment.
