VICTORIA, B.C. — A ferry crushed a seaplane dock in Victoria, B.C., as it was backing out of its berth Wednesday night in the inner harbor.
No one was hurt and no planes or boats were damaged. The ferry Coho continued on its schedule, crossing the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Port Angeles.
Officials are investigating the accident.
The president of the Black Ball Ferry Line, Ryan Burles, says conditions were windy at the time. He says the captain is a 15-year veteran and the crew is very experienced.
