Fewer than 100 households were without power Sunday evening, and Snohomish County Public Utilities District officials expected that power would be fully restored by this morning, PUD spokesman Mike Thorne said.
A fierce windstorm, with gusts nearing 60 mph, pummeled the region early Saturday morning, leaving about 105,000 people without power in the areas of Arlington, Lake Goodwin and southern Snohomish County, Thorne said. PUD crews worked throughout Saturday and Sunday to restore power.
Milder winds whipped the area early Sunday morning. About 1,200 households lost power then, Thorne said. Those households regained power within an hour.
