Fire at Lynwood apartment contained to one room

LYNNWOOD — A fire broke out at the Viking Apartments in Lynnwood on Saturday afternoon, but was contained to a single room.

Firefighters arrived at the apartment building, at 6616 202nd St. SW, at 2:14 p.m. and brought it under control in six minutes, said Phil Pons, acting lieutenant with the fire department.

There were no injures to the residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.
