AUBURN — Fire has heavily damaged 10 storage units at the Auburn Public Storage facility in the south Seattle suburb of Auburn.
Valley Regional Fire Authority spokesperson Kimberly McDonald-Terhune said no one was injured in Friday’s fire.
A customer who was storing his truck at the facility was the first to spot smoke coming from one of the storage buildings late in the afternoon. Fire crews arrived within four minutes of a 911 call and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the approximately 100-foot by 40-foot building.
Some additional storage units suffered light to moderate smoke and water damage.
The building contained 80 storage units.
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire. No damage estimate was immediately provided.
