EVERETT — A fire damaged a former machine shop on W. Casino Road on Friday night, and took firefighters about an hour to extinguish.
Around 7:30 p.m., firefighters responded to reports of the fire on the 2100 block of W. Casino Road in Everett. The commercial structure was a former machine shop that had been closed, a press release said. Firefighters reported flames and smoke upon arrival.
It took approximately 40 firefighters, including mutual aid from South County Fire and Mukilteo Fire Department, nearly an hour to extinguish the blaze. The nearby road was closed for several hours during the fire, the press release said.
Multiple sources list the name of the former machine shop as Precision Automatics, Inc.
No injuries were reported and investigators are still determining the cause of the fire.
