Fire damages Lynnwood garage

LYNNWOOD — A garage fire north of here caused $60,000 in damage early Wednesday morning.

Neighbors reported a fire in the 5900 block of 143rd Street SW. about 12:30 a.m., Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said. Crews found flames shooting from the second floor of the two-story, 40-feet-by-20-feet detached garage.

Nobody was hurt. Homeowners managed to get their vehicles out of the garage before firefighters arrived.

An investigator from the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office determined the fire was electrical and started accidentally.
