EVERETT — A fire on Sunday evening caused extensive damage to a home divided into apartments in downtown Everett.
The three-story house in the 3200 block of Hoyt Avenue is a block away from the Everett Post Office. It has five living units.
The fire was reported by the buildings owner who lives in the complex, officials said.
There’s probably going to be some people displaced, Everett Assistant Fire Chief Glen Martinsen said.
The Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross was called to help people find temporary shelter.
The fire appeared to start in a third-floor unit.
A damage estimate and the cause of the blaze were not immediately available.
