SEATTLE — The National Weather Service is warning of wildfire danger in parts of Washington with more high temperatures in the forecast.
A heat advisory in effect today for the Yakima Valley and lower Columbia Basin.
A fire weather watch is in effect this afternoon in the north parts of Eastern Washington. Forecasters worry lightning from thunderstorms could ignite wildfires.
Forecasters say high temperatures will be in the 80s Friday, climbing into the 90s for the weekend and early next week in Western Washington.
Forecasters say Eastern Washington highs will be in the 90s through Saturday, heading for triple digits Sunday and Monday.
