ABERDEEN – A raging fire destroyed four commercial buildings in downtown Aberdeen.
Firefighters believe the blaze started at Grays Harbor Equipment Co. around 10 p.m. Saturday night, quickly spreading to nearby buildings.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The Grays Harbor Public Utility District briefly shut down power to the area where the fire was burning, but most electrical service had been restored by 11:30 p.m.
Police blocked nearby roads as hundreds of onlookers streamed toward the fire, which filled the center of down with thick, black smoke.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
