CAMANO ISLAND — A fire that damaged a bathroom of a mobile home on north Camano Island on Wednesday forced a family of four to find temporary housing.
Volunteers from the American Red Cross provided financial help for food and lodging to the two adults and two children, officials said.
Camano Island assistant fire chief Craig Helgeland said the cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
It was reported around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday on Shore Drive. The bathroom will require repairs, and the fire left a smoke odor in the home that would have made it difficult for the children to breathe, he said.
