LYNNWOOD — Families in the Lake Serene area are invited to join Santa for a holiday party Saturday at Fire Station 23.
Snohomish County Fire District 1 plans to host the 17th annual party at 10 a.m. at the station at 4323 Serene Way in Lynnwood.
Firefighters plan to collect canned and nonperishable foods at the door. The donations will go to local food banks and needy families, district spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.
Families planning to attend are asked to RSVP to 425-551-1243 and bring a wrapped gift for each child attending the party to the station before Saturday. Each gift should be labeled with the child’s first and last name and have a $10 value or less.
