Firefighters battling blaze at Everett apartments

EVERETT – Crews were battling a two-alarm fire at a Compass Health apartment complex.

The fire started about 5 p.m. in an apartment on the third floor. Flames were shooting up from the roof.

The building, run by Compass Health, a mental health organization, is in the 3300 block of Lombard avenue.

One person was taken to a hospital for evaluation after jumping from a balcony. He wasn’t seriously hurt.
