Firefighters, cops flipping flapjacks Saturday in Mukilteo

MUKILTEO — Police officers and firefighters here are hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser this weekend.

The breakfast will raise money for “Shop With A Cop and Firefighter,” an annual event in which people in public safety take children shopping for Christmas, officer Cheol Kang said.

The breakfast is planned from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the fire station along 47th Place W. The event is free, but donations are encouraged, Kang said.

The police and fire chiefs are expected to compete with each other for best pancake chef, Kang said. Topper, the Snohomish County arson investigation dog, also is expected to drop by.
