MALTBY — Firefighters arrived at a reported house fire early Sunday to find 30-foot flames curling out the front window, licking at the dark sky and lighting up the yard.
Snohomish County Fire District 7 crews quickly knocked down the blaze in a wooded neighborhood near Maltby.
They had the fire under control within 10 minutes of arriving on scene, according to a statement from the fire district.
Firefighters responded to the fire in the 22800 block of 106th Drive Southeast at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday.
No one was in the house during the fire, and no injuries were reported.
Fireworks and arson do not appear to have started the fire, though the cause is still being investigated, according to the statement.
