WARM BEACH — Four canaries and aquarium fish died in a fire that raced through two travel trailers Sunday night at the Port Susan Camping Club.
No people were hurt in the blaze reported around 8:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Blossom, Marysville Fire District spokeswoman Kristen Thorstenson said.
When fire crews arrived, a 30-foot trailer and a fifth-wheel trailer, parked next to each other, were engulfed in flames, she said.
Firefighters from Marysville, Tulalip Bay, North County Fire &EMS and Getchell battled the blaze.
Damage is estimated at $70,000. The owners were not insured, Thorstenson said. The pet birds and three fish tanks were lost.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the fire’s cause.
