SEATTLE — The Coast Guard is monitoring a 50-foot fishing vessel that ran aground about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday near San Juan Island.
A Coast Guard response boat from Bellingham found no pollution. The cutter Wahoo remains on scene.
The commercial fishing vessel, the Ruby Lily, has about 4,800 gallons of diesel on board.
The Coast Guard has hired the Vessel Assist company to refloat the vessel. Costs will be covered by the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund.
