EVERETT — A storm cloud of fists and pepper spray erupted after a botched drug deal Friday afternoon in downtown Everett, police said.
The dispute over the drugs involved the occupants of a truck and a small car, Everett Police Lt. Jim Duffy said.
Two young men in the truck were being followed by a young woman and a young man in the car. At the intersection of Grand Avenue and California Street, the driver of the truck began backing up, forcing the driver of the car to crash into three parked vehicles on the side of the street.
When the men in the truck jumped out, the man from the car tried to stop them with pepper spray. A fight followed and the suspects in the truck drove off.
The incident is under investigation, Duffy said.
