Snohomish County Dairy Women’s 50th Anniversary Princess Coronation Banquet is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday at the Hawthorn Inn in Smokey Point.
Princess candidates are:
Jilliane Galusha, a junior at Cedarcrest High School in Duvall, is a member of Future Farmers of America and participated in FFA dairy projects showing dairy animals. She plans to major in animal sciences at Montana State University with an eye to becoming a large animal veterinarian.
Greer Hei, a senior at Cedarcrest High school in Duvall, won ribbons showing heifers at fairs, and hopes to teach agricultural education at the high school level after attending Washington State University.
Andrea Neff, a junior at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, lived on a dairy farm for 10 years, is active in 4-H and plans to attend the University of Washington.
Kristal Rupard, Duvall, is working on her associate’s degree for animal medicine at Everett Community College and won grand champion twice with her Jersey cow at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe.
Hannah Zorn is home-schooled and worked last year at Cherry Valley Dairy Farm in Duvall. She has received awards at fairs in Stanwood, Silvana, Puyallup and Monroe.
