SEATTLE — A Seattle Fire Department spokesman said five teens were burned after one of them poured an accelerant onto a bonfire in a fire pit at Alki Beach Park.
Spokesman Kyle Moore said all five were taken to Harborview Medical Center’s burn unit after the beach bonfire flared up Monday night.
He says two male teens are in serious condition with second- and third-degree burns to their arms and faces. Three other teens — two boys and a girl — were less seriously burned.
He estimates all were 18 or younger. Moore said the teens were burning some type of school papers in the pit.
