Food bank crew posts big numbers

Volunteers at the Sky Valley Food Bank in Monroe were honored this week for providing more than 12,500 hours of service in 2008. The 70 volunteers lifted and sorted more than 625,000 pounds of donated and purchased food and distributed food approximately 43,000 times to more than 12,500 families.
