A former Snohomish volunteer fire lieutenant had sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl at a Fire District 4 station, according to court documents filed Wednesday.
David Johnathan Wing, 42, of Silvana, was charged earlier this month in Snohomish County Superior Court with two counts of third-degree child rape.
Wing had a series of sexual encounters with the girl, deputy prosecutor Mark Roe wrote in court documents.
After he was charged, Wing was released from the fire service for violation of department policy, Snohomish Fire Deputy Chief Ron Simmons said.
Wing had been a volunteer since 1992.
Computers were seized from the fire department. Those computers have since been returned. Simmons doesn’t believe investigators found anything criminal on the department’s computers.
Wing and the girl exchanged nude photos of each other over their telephones, investigators said in a search warrant filed Wednesday in Everett District Court.
They also communicated by e-mail, documents said.
One of the sexual encounters occurred in October at an unoccupied department fire station in the Three Lakes area, court documents allege.
