Paul H. King, who served eight years in the state Legislature in the 1980s, stopped practicing law in the state awhile back.
Now he’s officially done.
The Washington State Bar Association Disciplinary Board moved to disbar King after he pleaded guilty in November 2008 to mail fraud. King challenged the fairness of the process conducted by the board.
On Thursday, the state Supreme Court unanimously upheld the bar association’s handling of the proceedings.
King, a Democrat and former Mountlake Terrace resident, represented the 44th District in the House of Representatives. He was first elected in 1982 and was re-elected three times.
