YAKIMA — A former Sunnyside police clerk accused of taking more than $11,000 from the department was arrested Thursday near Los Angeles, in the city of South Gate.
Authorities say 21-year-old Virginia Perez will be returned to Yakima County to face theft charges.
She’s accused of taking money last year from jail inmate accounts.
