TACOMA — A 41-year-old Pierce County foster father was arrested Thursday for investigation of dozens of instances of child rape and child pornography offenses, a Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman said.
Six foster children, all boys ages 5 to 7, were removed from the home.
"All are victims," Pierce County sheriff’s detective Ed Troyer said. "Hundreds of photographs have been recovered showing the boys in sexually explicit poses and engaged in sexual acts with the suspect," he said.
Ronald Harold Young was booked into the Pierce County Jail for investigation of 32 counts of first-degree child rape, 10 counts of distribution of images of children engaged in sexually explicit acts, 10 counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of child molestation, jail booking documents showed.

Seattle: Man found guilty in singer’s death
A 49-year-old man was found guilty of first degree murder Thursday in the 1993 rape-strangulation death of Seattle punk-rock singer Mia Zapata. Jesus C. Mezquia, a Cuban national most recently living in Marathon, Fla., faces 20 years to life in prison, said Dan Donohoe, a spokesman for the King County Prosecutor’s Office. Prosecutors were trying to calculate a more specific range, which could be between 22 and 30 years, he said. Zapata, the 27-year-old lead singer of The Gits, was found dead on a street in Seattle’s Central Area on July 7, 1993. She had been beaten, raped and strangled with the drawstring of her sweat shirt.
