CLEARVIEW — Traffic on Highway 9 slowed to a crawl in the Clearview area Monday afternoon after a chain-reaction wreck.
The crash happened around 4 p.m., near where the highway crosses 188th Street SE, about six miles south of Snohomish.
Traffic in the area had slowed, but one driver didn’t slow down fast enough, according to a memo from the Washington State Patrol. The driver, a Snohomish man, 62, hit another car, causing a chain reaction.
A Monroe man, 60, was taken to a local hospital with injuries. The Snohomish man also had injuries.
Two other drivers who were involved were not injured.
