SNOHOMISH – Kla Ha Ya Days start today with a simple theme: Kla Ha Ya draws a crowd.
The four-day festival, which began in the 1930s, expects to draw about 15,000 people to town, festival committee president Dallas Van Dyke said. It has almost everything people can expect of a small-town festival, including a frog-jumping contest.
“We always highlight our frog jumping. It’s sort of like our brand,” he said, adding that the festival uses a frog as its logo.
