Party at Jackson
Students at Henry M. Jackson High School offer Octoberfest 2010 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at 1508 136th St. SE in Mill Creek.
The clubs and sports teams offer games, prizes and fun for children. It’s free.
Halloween haunted egg hunt: Children ages 11 to 15 are invited to a haunted egg hunt at Jennings Memorial Park in Marysville.
The hunt begins at 7 p.m. Friday at the park, located at 6915 Armar Road.
Participants can dress in costume and will need to bring their own flashlights and bags. Register before the hunt at the Marysville Parks and Recreation office at 514 Delta Ave. The cost is $3.
The event is sponsored by Marysville Parks and Kung Fu 4 Kids.
No telling if the Easter bunny will show up. Then again, the bunny might be in a costume so no one will know if the rabbit shows up.
Treat in Mountlake Terrace: Parents concerned about the safety of their children on Halloween may want to bring their kids to Trunk or Treat, a new, free event scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
A group of residents have volunteered to park their cars and trucks at the lot and hand out candy to children. “We’re trying to provide a safe zone where parents know they can come in, walk around with their kids and not worry about somebody tampering with their candy,” said Seaun Richards, owner of The Red Onion Restaurant, which is sponsoring the event with other city businesses.
A brief that ran on Tuesday gave the incorrect date for the event.
