A bratwurst sale to benefit “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” is planned for 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday (or until the food is gone) at Smokey Point Harley Davidson, 16212 Smokey Point Blvd. in Marysville.
A brat, chips and a pop will be available for $3.
Garbage on schedule: On Monday, Rubatino Refuse Removal and Waste Management will make pick-ups on schedule, but offices will be closed.
Happy Fourth of July Sunday: Here are some closures and changes:
Government: Federal, state and local offices are closed Sunday and Monday.
Post offices: Closed Sunday and Monday, although express mail service continues.
Commerce: Many businesses and most banks are closed Sunday and Monday. Everett and Alderwood malls are open.
Transportation: Community Transit is not running Sunday or Monday. Everett Transit is on regular schedules both days. For ferry information, go to www. wsdot.wa.gov/ferries or call 888-808-7977.
The Herald: Classified advertising and the front lobby are closed Sunday and Monday. Customer service for home delivery is open from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday and Monday.
Fire in the sky?: A perfectly rational gentleman saw what looked like an airplane on fire June 25 above Alfy’s Pizza on Broadway in Everett.
Everett police have no information about such a sighting.
