Holiday closures
Many folks get a day off today because of the Sunday holiday. Here are some closures and changes:
Government: Federal, state and local offices are closed.
Post offices: Closed, although express mail service continues.
Commerce: Many businesses and most banks are closed. Everett and Alderwood malls are open.
Transportation: Community Transit is not running. Everett Transits is on a regular schedule.

The Herald: Classified advertising and the front lobby are closed. Customer service for home delivery is open from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Camp Killoqua open house: Families are invited to tour the camp from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Killoqua’s 185-acre facility offers day and resident camp programs during the summer for kids from kindergarten through 12 grade.

Swim clinic in Mill Creek: West Coast Aquatics in Mill Creek has scheduled a swim clinic for Sunday hosted by Olympic gold medalist Megan Jendrick.
The clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes presentations, autograph signings and work on stroke technique.
Swimmers must be between 6 and 18 years of age and bring a towel, a suit, a cap and goggles. Each swimmer will receive a T-shirt, a swim bag, DVDs and a goal-setting booklet.
Registration is $75 and space is limited. Forms are at West Coast Aquatics, 15622 Country Club Drive in Mill Creek.
