Nominate a voice
Everett public radio station KSER (90.7 FM) seeks nominations for the 2010 Voice of the Community Award to recognize voices who speak up about community or cultural concerns with positive results for Snohomish or Island counties.
If you know people, groups or businesses that have made a difference for the community, consider nominating them for the 2010 award. Nominations are due Aug. 13. For nomination forms and more details, go to www.kser.org or e-mail voice@kser.org.
Winners will be recognized at the KSER Voice of the Community Awards Celebration, 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at Everett Community College.
The 2009 winner was Winnie Corral, program manager for the South Everett Neighborhood Center and Familias Unidas.
Young aviator camp at Arlington airport: Camps for young aviators ages 12 through 18 are set for today through Wednesday and Aug. 9 through 13 at Arlington Municipal Airport.
Included are a field trip and a flight lesson.

Night out in Mountlake Terrace: National Night Out2D842E88 is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 3 at Evergreen Playfield Complex, at 22205 56th Ave. W. in Mountlake Terrace.
The event will feature displays of city departments, local services and service organizations.
Other entertainment will include music, face painting and bouncy houses.
