Fill the boot for MDA
Marysville firefighters will be out in the city on Friday and Saturday with boots in hand, as they kick off their annual Fill-the-Boot fundraising campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Firefighters will stand at the intersection of State Avenue and Grove Street in Marysville and ask motorists to drop donations into their boots.
Proceeds raised during the campaign will help support MDA services and research programs, including transportation services, support groups and local clinics.
Group study exchange to India: Business people ages 25 to 40 can apply to be part of a Group Study Exchange to central India from mid-December to mid-January.
The Group Study Exchange is a long-established program of Rotary International that offers an all-expenses-paid experience with home stays with Rotarian host country families, vocational visits, and an opportunity to exchange ideas.
The exchange is not open to Rotarians or their relatives.

Celebrate Juneteenth at EvCC: Everett Community College students will host a community celebration for Juneteenth on Thursday at the college’s Parks Student Union multipurpose room.
Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
The celebration is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Everett Community College, 2000 Tower St., in Everett.
Music, refreshments and a raffle will be part of the event sponsored by the Black Student Union and the Student Activities Programs Board.
