Sons of Norway
Normanna Lodge No. 3, Everett, hosts the District 2 Sons of Norway convention May 19-22.
District 2 includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and part of Wyoming. The convention marks the 100th anniversary of District 2, Sons of Norway, as well as several of the lodges in the district.
Sons of Norway lodges are dedicated to preserving and promoting Scandinavian traditions and culture. Many offer Scandinavian language classes, breakfasts, dinners, crafts, bazaars, dances and dance lessons, and sponsor team sports, scholarships and many other activities.
Events are planned at the Everett Holiday Inn and Normanna Lodge. More than 200 delegates as well as many guests and dignitaries are expected to attend.
New clinic offers open house: Pacific Medical Centers’ new Canyon Park Clinic offers an open house Thursday evening for the public to get acquainted with the facility and its staff.
Tours are planned from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Canyon Park Junior High Choir is scheduled to perform at 5:30 p.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:30 p.m.

Talk railroads: Snohomish Railfans meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Hilton Lake Fire Station community room, 3525 108th St. SE in Everett.
All are welcome and railroad enthusiasts are encouraged to join us for a program of slides, education and camaraderie.
