Everett leader honored: Carl Gipson, a former city councilman, will get to see his name on an Everett building today.
City leaders named its senior center the Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett. The naming dedication is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. today at the center, 3025 Lombard Ave.
The public is invited to attend.
Valentine’s dance for dads and daughters: Registration for the city of Marysville’s annual father-daughter Valentine’s dances.
The dances are scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. and 7:30 to 9 p.m. Feb. 6 and Feb. 20 at the Cedarcrest Middle School Cafeteria, 6400 88th St. NE.
Fathers and daughters of all ages are invited. Registration is required and costs $15 per couple and $5 for each additional daughter.
Registration is available at the Parks and Recreation Office at Jennings Park, 6915 Armar Road.
