Kids design new park
Horizon Elementary School in the Mukilteo School District includes a nearby wetland in Everett. Students and staff are going to start developing the land in partnership with Earthcorp, the Boeing Co. and the City of Everett Office of Neighborhoods.
It will eventually be a park designed for and by kids and a community wetland project for others to enjoy.
The plan kicks off at 9:20 a.m. Friday at a school assembly at 222 W. Casino Road with Earthcorp and Boeing, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony outdoors.
Sunday bingo in Silvana: Bingo begins at 4 p.m. Sunday at Viking Hall, 1331 Pioneer Highway, Silvana. Doors open at 3 p.m.
