Several programs are planned at the Monroe Library.
A Winter Extravaganza: “Recess Monkey” concert is planned for 3:30 this afternoon. Winner of national awards, Recess Monkey is a band of three teachers who deliver an energetic musical program for ages 6 and older.
Puppets and More Puppets is planned for 2 p.m. Monday. Learn what strings, gloves and shadows have in common by puppeteer Jean Mattison.
At 2 p.m. Tuesday, learn about mail art. Cut it, fold it and stamp it to make your own correspondence.
At 2 p.m. Wednesday, craft a Christmas gift.
All free programs are suitable for age 6 and older. The library is at 1070 Village Way, Monroe.
Hero Quilters group meet today: The Stanwood-Camano Hero Quilters group plans to meet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Stanwood Senior Center social room, 7430 276th St. NW, Stanwood.
Quilts made by the group are given to wounded soldiers through American Hero Quilts project. The group is also selling cookbooks for $10. For more information, call 360-387-4800.
