Silvertips go pink
The Everett Silvertips and the Providence Comprehensive Breast Center aim to raise awareness for breast cancer research and family support this week.
A “Pink the Rink” event is planned at the Saturday night hockey game against the Brandon Wheat Kings. The Silvertips will donate $4 from every ticket purchased through Kevin Danford in the front office.
There will also be raffles and a post-game Survivor’s Skate on the Comcast Arena ice.
Wear pink clothing to the 7:05 p.m. match. The first 100 fans who donate at least $100 receive a pink, autographed hockey stick.
There will also be a raffle for sticks signed by NHL players Vincent Lecavalier, Steven Stamkos and Peter Mueller.
For tickets or information about the after-game skate, call Danford at 425-609-2809.
