Scholarship run
A 3.4-mile fun run and walk to benefit the Brett Akio Jensen Memorial Scholarship Fund is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Saturday at Everett’s American Legion Memorial Park. Registration is $30 on the day of the run. Brett Jensen, a Cascade High School graduate and University of Washington student, died in an accident in 2002. Don and Jan Jensen, Brett’s parents, fund a Brett Akio Jensen Memorial Scholarship each year for a Cascade High School senior.
This spring, two Cascade students received $2,000 each. The family also donates to the Rotary Club of Everett’s scholarship program. For more information: brettjensen.wordpress.com.
