“These videos do more than just show the skills test required for getting a motorcycle endorsement,” explained motorcycle safety program manager Steve Stewart. “They explain why you need those skills and how they translate to riding out on the open road.”

Since January, 15 motorcycle deaths have been reported on Washington roadways. In 2008, there were 78 motorcycle fatalities statewide. There were 65 fatalities in 2007.
Goodwill offers free classes: South Everett Goodwill is offering free classes so students can learn skills in computers and English.
The next eight-week session runs from May 26 through July 16. Classes include English for non-English speakers, basic computer classes, word processing and Microsoft Excel.

Virtual cemetery tour gets statewide award: Everett historian David Dilgard and a team of librarians at Everett Public Library will be honored today in Olympia with the Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation’s 2009 State Historic Preservation Officer’s Award for outstanding achievement in historic preservation at a ceremony in Olympia.
