Red Cross CPR class
Free CPR training will be offered by the Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th St. SW in Lynnwood.
Participants must be at least 11 and physically capable of performing CPR chest compressions and rescue breaths.
Sessions are scheduled for 8, 9 and 10 a.m. A Spanish-language CPR session is planned for 9:30 a.m. Each session will last about three hours. Training will include CPR skills practice and a written exam. Red Cross certificates will be presented upon successful completion of the course.

It’s garage sale heaven in Mountlake Terrace: A three-day Citywide Yard Sale begins at 9 a.m. Friday in Mountlake Terrace.
Shoppers can walk or drive from sale to sale throughout the city to see what treasures are available.
Exchange skills at family center: The Lake Stevens Family Center has started a Community Skills Exchange and Job Board.
The intent is to create an informal trading system in which goods or services are directly exchanged for other goods or services without the use of money.
Anyone interested may join the Skills Exchange by coming to the center, filling out a questionnaire, and posting their service and request. The Family Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
