Free dental
Just Smile Dental offers one cleaning, one routine extraction or one filling for free to anyone who shows up during the annual “Holiday Cheer Day,” which is set for 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday. First come, first served. The dental office is at 11802 Evergreen Way, Suite 104, in Everett. For more information, call 425-405-7301.
Mind the porch: Sultan police are warning folks that thieves are out checking porches for packages this time of year. Several incidents have been reported in town already of suspicious people following delivery trucks, the department posted on Facebook. Try to schedule deliveries when you’re home. Also don’t leave the drapes open if presents are visible inside.
Help kids: The Volunteers of America chapter in Sultan has a program putting together backpacks of food for local students in need. The organization is looking for more donors. For more information, call 360-793-2400.
Auto drip workshops: The state Department of Ecology’s “Don’t Drip and Drive” workshops return to Snohomish County in January. The free workshops provide leak checks and a class on basic auto maintenance. Sessions are scheduled at Marysville Pilchuck High School, Cascade High School and Sno-Isle Tech Center starting Jan. 14. To register, go to https://fixcarleaks.org/workshop-events/#register.
